Challenge 2

Given a coin, compute Random(a,b) that is x, a <= x <= b, each number between a and b having the same probability to be chosen. What's the expected time for your function ?

Does anyone know a better solution than (b-a)/2 ?

I want a framework for editing .RC / .RES files, with classes like Dialog, Control, and save / load functionality, of course. Although I guess no-one will do it now because standard Windows resource usage has declined since .NET came over.

Simmilarily to Remote Desktop, now that GDrive may coming, Microsoft should abuse their No.1 OS supplier position to be successful monopoly in this area also: add a “Live” online data hosting service with a Vista(XP-addon via Windows Update also ?)-included client to mount the online drive as a “My Computer” drive – no hassle, no third-party software involved.
